I read a cool article in the Ottowa Citizen "Lessons from the allotment garden."

Here are few lessons learned here at the Greenhorn Garden during the 2012 growing season:

  1. Well, amaranth seeds don't sprout easily.
  2. Spiders are creepy, but they're good for your garden.
  3. You guys really want to know about cover crops, worm composting, hot composting, and spring and autumn gardening.
  4. Good year for tobacco family, bad year for the bean family.
  5. Test seeds first!
  6. Transplanting works!

Happy Thanksgiving, guys. I'll be off next week

Grow'em big!

Damon
